Dues & Costs
This is a volunteer-led team. Coaches do not take any kind of stipend. We aim to run the team in a way that makes our athletes proud to wear the team uniform and confident and supported at every starting line. Your team dues fund the costs of club member affiliation dues for USATF and AAU, insurance, travel costs for coaches, and incidental costs for the team. Limited scholarships are available upon request.
*Payments for dues and uniforms are due at the time of registration. There is a $50 sibling discount for each additional child within the same family. You will receive a registration link with payment information once your athlete has completed the two-week tryout.
Parent Expectations
Typical Week
Many factors affect the training for each athlete including experience, age, ability and events. Our training focus and therefore practices will also vary throughout the year. Our goal is to finish every practice in 90 minutes. We understand that families have a lot to juggle and our hope is to be as efficient as possible at our practices.
Each practice will include a warmup, drills, strides, cooldown, education/character, core, and strength. Each day will have a training purpose and although the day's purpose may move around, a typical week will look like this:
The two team practices and weekend long runs are typically enough training for 7/8-year-olds, while older athletes need additional training to truly be ready for competition.
